Aurore Jones on Building a Successful Home Based Business
Aurore Jones is a Home Based Business professional, blogger and coach. Find out what she uses to make her brand successful in our exclusive interview below.
I am so excited for this interview with Aurore Jones. She is a top leader inside of network marketing and is a phenomenal home based business blogger.
So, let’s get started with the interviewing process.
Hey Aurore!
So, tell us how you went from working in a Prison as a secondary math teacher to being a top leader inside of network marketing?
It is actually quite funny the way it started. I went to a church outreach in London and in the ladies toilets a friend told me about working from home and that she would be happy to share more information with me. I loved the concept and called her back.
This then opened my eyes to a new world of opportunities. She introduced to network marketing and years later after having won a price to attend a place to an online marketing live event in Las Vegas, I got very interested in the concept of high ticket top tier business.

Could you tell us what the beginning was like for you in network marketing and what were the 3 biggest lessons you learned from it?
I was very excited and all over the place, hard working and ready to apply myself. I was not shy in real life but doing business was petrifying as much as exciting.
My 3 biggest lessons were:
1– To educate myself about prospecting and closing
2– To really take an interest in people and not just see them as “leads/customers”
3– To believe in myself and that by learning how to build a business from home I could help other people around me.
And if I could add a fourth lesson, it would be to spend as much time as possible in self-development. So you could take the hit in bad times and still be positive and carry on.

I am very impressed with your blog. How old is it, how many blog posts are on it, and how many leads do you get from it per day?
Thank you very much for your positive feedback. My blog is about 4/5 years old. It went through a lot of revamping over the years.
I have about 155 blog posts and a few hundred unpublished or deindexed. I used to do a lot of SEO back in the days and then switch to blogging because of all the changes made by Google.
My primary way of getting leads was ranking videos on YouTube. I averaged between 5-8 leads with my vlog.
I notice you have a huge video channel on YouTube. How has video marketing helped your MLM business?
Video has been huge in terms of creating instant rapport with my prospects. After they filled in the opt-in form below my videos on YouTube or on my blog, calling them was so easy.
From then, many opened up my emails because they had that connection with me, first by video, or on my blog, then over the phone call. Videos is perfect to close prospects into your business and build a LONG lasting relationship.
Up to now the same people, I connected with ages ago via my videos and phone calls still want to know what business I am in and how they can join or review some info.

What would you tell a new network marketer who wanted to do everything online and with a blog?
I would advise EVERYBODY in network marketing to have a blog. PERIOD! because it positions you as a leader and it is a way for people to “hear your voice” to know more about you through your blog posts and videos. To know what you stand for and to see if they like you enough to do business with you.
I think having a blog is essential to distinguish yourself, to stand out from the mass of distributors in your company.
I remember ranking many of my blog posts on Google and people were calling me to join my MLM company just because they saw my blog post online and reached out to me.
They would have never connected with me if I didn’t have a blog, SIMPLE! A blog helps you connect with a worldwide audience and helps you position yourself as an authority in your niche.
Blogging is so much fun, it is like having a LIVE journal online. At the beginning, I spent about 6 hours creating a blog post. Then when I knew what I was doing it took me about 30 minutes start to finish.

You have a fascinating feature offered on your blog, called the “Strategy Call.” Could you tell us what that’s about and who it’s meant for?
Sure, the Strategy Call is to help any new person to the home based business arena to gain more clarity about running their business on a daily business.
We talk about specific areas where they are struggling their business and how to get unstuck to be able to move forward, brand themselves, get leads and make sales. Many people were thrilled to have this “open” chat with me to see how they could move their business forward.

What other services or products do you promote on your blog, other than MLM?
I promote an educational platform which taught EVERYTHING I know about blogging, branding, closing leads, prospecting, mindset and the list goes it. It is BY FAR the most powerful ONLINE COMMUNITY for home business owners that I have ever seen where each one teach one and encourages one.
Despite being in different companies, we all come together to help each other achieve our goals. Many if not MOST of the top online gurus crushing it online come from this phenomenal community. It is CREATING Tomorrow’s Leaders Today!
I noticed that you have collaborated and learned from the best network marketers out there, including Todd Falcone, Mark Harbert, and Tanya Aliza. How important is it to learn from the best and what key points did each one teach you?
CRUCIAL. If you know someone who has experience in what you want to do, why not learn from them, why not learn from the best. Tanya Aliza, Mark Harbert, Todd Falcone, Ray Higdon, Mark Hoverson, Brian Fanale, Diane Hochman and so many more are awesome leaders to learn from.
I learned about branding and blogging from Tanya Aliza and Ray Higdon. Jessica Higdon has taught me a lot about connecting people on Facebook which created my first 4 figures online. The latest changes I did on my blog were because of their teaching. Mark Harbert taught me about Facebook PPC using native advertising basically, using your blog to brand yourself on Facebook, create a custom audience and pay less per click for your campaigns.
Todd Falcone was all about scripts and become proficient in closing prospects. Mark Hoverson created a course ages ago called The Irresistible Information Marketing Blueprint which is still an evergreen product today about creating your own information products in a matter of days.
How do you make the images on your blog and video thumbnails so nice?
I use a free website called Canva for all my images and thumbnail. I just have to determine the size and then upload my pictures either on my blog or on social media platforms “Et voila”. I use the same fonts that I use on my blog on all my pictures, so it looks congruent everywhere.

What’s your favorite business book right now?
I have soooo many. Probably “Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway“, by Susan Jeffers. The book says it all. Despite the fear and doubt and mind games to still do it and stay in the game. “Pushing through fear is less frightening than living with the underlying fear that comes from a feeling of helplessness”.
It teaches you that you can overcome your fears, you can do everything you set your mind to do. The fear doesn’t go away but you still do what you have to do and bypass it, it’s part of your growth. Powerful.
I remember being petrified when speaking in English and this book really helped me overcome this fear and “speak anyway”.

What are your plans for 2023?
Oh gosh so many. I need to strategize. I had in mind a while back to help local businesses with the knowledge I gained in online marketing especially branding using social media. And add an extra income stream with e-commerce.

What’s your favorite quote and why?
“Success is going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm” Winston Churchill.
I stumbled so many times, but stayed in the game, I felt like giving up so many times but this fire in my belly kept me going. So many times, I found angels on my way, encouraging me, supporting me, helping me to press forward.
So many prayers, tears and joyful moments…and in the midst of my madness God was with me keeping my mind sane and sound.
Even if you don’t see the end of the tunnel, there is hope out there. You can get back on fire and win. Just never stop!!! Surround yourself with people who will challenge you and inspire you to become the best version of yourself.
SO DO NOT SURRENDER to the voices in your head, NEVER give up and keep your enthusiasm up because in the end you will win. Serve others with a joyful heart.
This scripture from the Holy Bible comes to my mind.
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9
Thank you so much, Aurore! This has been a powerful interview with a lot of great value.
