Dave Reineke on Providing 24 Hour Marketing Strategies for 6 Figures
Dave Reinke has been an internet marketer for the last 15 years. He had experienced failure after failure until he learned how to duplicate a system. His powerful story of success is below in our 2023 exclusive interview.
Wow Dave, I am excited to learn more about you! Thanks for accepting this interview. So, let’s get started.
Where were you born and raised, what was childhood like, and what did you want to be when you ‘grew up?’
I was born in a small town called Johannesburg in 1976, I have a sister who is 4 years younger than me and I was brought up in a loving family.
Honestly I could not choose a better set of parents. I did have a challenging childhood in that I battled with reading and spelling.
So school has always been a problem for me. I was also bullied a lot as a kid because I’ve always been kind of different from everyone.
I never was very social and kept to myself pretty much. I have always had a great moral compass so I know that being that way kept me pretty much alone away from my peers.
I have never been much for getting in trouble and I know that had a big part to play with being bullied. I would always stand up for the little guy and that made me a target. But other than that I had a great childhood growing up.

What did your parents do for a living and was there any Entrepreneurship in the family?
My Dad was a Fitter and Turner and worked at a baking factory most of his life fixing machines. He also is a poet and has won prizes for his writing. It is a hobby of his and he is extremely good. He is incredibly talented and is somewhat of an inventor.
My Mom worked as an Insurance Broker and had a reputation of always dealing honestly and with integrity. Many people quickly learned that my Mom was not a person to try and swindle.
One thing about my Mom is clear she has always been in the helping people business. No matter where she is she always is concerned about the welfare of others. Everything good that came out of me is ONLY because of the parents I had. I could not have had a better set of caretakers.
No, my parents were not entrepreneurs but laid a very firm foundation for me for having integrity with everything I did. In one sense I suppose they did teach me about helping others so I am sure that Entrepreneurship started with my Mom and Dad. I mean ultimately part of Entrepreneurship is to help others.

You had a lot of jobs, the longest one being two years. What was wrong with having a job and how did that inspire you to become an Entrepreneur?
I have never liked working as a rule and what I wanted to do was something I loved. Part of the problem was I was not getting paid for something I loved doing – being a Youth Worker. I have been a Youth Worker for the better part of 20 years but always as a volunteer. Never as a full time paying job.
Every JOB I had was so boring and just plain stupid to me I could never hold it down for more than 2 years. I would always end up doing something else other than my job description and my Boss would always tell me. “We are going in a different direction” or “we can see you have different interests”
My last JOB was indeed a Youth Worker getting paid about $400 a month, less in fact, due to the exchange rate of South Africa. It was more like $250 in the end. I was told that I better accept the payment or I would have to leave, so I left. I loved the work but living on $250 a month was not enough to feed me or keep me living.
While working as a Youth Worker part time I discovered Online Work through a friend of mine and the very idea that you could work on your own terms with no one to boss you around was simply too great to pass up.
It was during that time I started to work Online. Not only can I make a living, making money only, but I could also teach others how to do it.
So this is another reason I work online. So I can teach youngsters how to do the same. This is where my inspiration came from partly.

You then tried selling your ebook and it flopped even though it was high quality. What happened, and what did you realize about marketing a product?
Yes, I worked on a book called Personality Analytics and I made two sales in a space of six months. It was a flop but I learned a lot through all of that.
First, I learned that I was working a business the hard way. Trying to make a product from scratch and then to get an audience and then to sell a great product. This is such a backward way of running a business online.
Second, I learned that NO one is going to buy from you when no one knows anything about you.
So what did I learn?
I learned that you need to learn how to promote and sell, then you need to Brand yourself. Then you need to provide Value to others so people will listen to you. This builds an audience to give you a following. After you get a following you WILL makes sales without prospecting.
You heard me right. I Never Prospect ANYONE!
All my customers ask me for links to products. I never ask for a Sale.
This is what I learned about writing my own book. I hope that makes sense.
When did you discover internet marketing, what was your first two years like, and can you tell us what you would change if you started over today?
Wow, well I answered that question earlier on how I discovered Internet Marketing. It was through a friend. However it was actually because of a guy online called Jeff Walker.
Jeff inspired me with his story and the only reason I could not buy his products was because they were so expensive. About $3000. It may as well have been $3,000,000. The dollar for me at that time was crazy expensive.
However, I followed Jeff for ages and started to change the way I thought about things that block you from succeeding. You see it really wasn’t about the money. It was my limiting belief that I could not do it. When I changed my mindset I found cheaper ways to get started.
Even when I didn’t have the money I would work out ways to get money, like finding temp work and doing odd jobs. Nothing is impossible if you change your view and perspective. This was a about two years of figuring that out. How I wish I had met a Mentor to help me with that.
If I started all over again I would find a Mentor and get involved in a community of like-minded people. Then I would change my peer group and get plugged into training that my mentors recommend.

You discovered that you needed to duplicate a system for internet success. What did you find and how did it work for you?
Yes, this is so important. I discovered early on that the only way you can attain success is to go where success has been.
When I was learning about marketing I spent a lot of time trying to get answers to questions I had about marketing. During this venture I came across a person who told me that if I paid them $25 they would put 25 ads on Craigslist.
Long story short I did it and then got results. Learning that those ads got results, I duplicated the ads, made them my own and got similar results. So I learned that all you have to do is to duplicate a system that is proven. The way you do this is to listen to Mentors. Simple…

I love your blog! How old is it, how many posts are on it, and what is your daily traffic like?
My Blog is about 5 years old and I have about 200 blog posts on it. My daily traffic comes from YouTube and I get Thousands of views every week. My blog is a resource for people wanting to learn about the training I provide and I get a substantial amount of traffic to it.
However I will also say this…
I am NOT a stats person. I never look at my traffic. For a few reasons. The first is. Quantity does NOT mean success. Even if you have millions of views on your blog it does not mean you will gain success. It just means you got traffic.
Second, looking at stats when you get started will depress you. Especially if you don’t have the right attitude. I know that there are lots people that love stats, but honestly unless you have a plan of action and a roadmap of success, Stats are the last thing you should look at.
The important thing to do is to get to work and start building a habit of regular activities around marketing strategies.
A blog is an island where you can get people to look at your Training, Products and ways to contact you. Every Marketer should have one because it is your House online and a way for people to see what you are all about.

What kind of 24 hour marketing tips work for you and what is your advice for newbies?
The reason I am called The 24 Hour Marketer is because I use strategies that work 24 hours a day without my being at my computer. I have built my entire business on YouTube, Blogging with Facebook as a way to reach me easily.
I would say find a Marketing Strategy where you can learn to reach people and master it until you are an expert. I would also say make sure you meet new people in your niche every day to expand your Network.
Especially on Facebook. This way the people you are friends with will like and share and comment and the people following them will see your content. If you are providing high Value content then you will have more people reaching out to you as a result of your initial connections.
What’s the hottest way to generate leads for you these days, and can you share a technique?
YouTube is my biggest ally when generating leads. One way I gain leads into my business is to expose Scams online.
I review Products that have no real business value and make videos about them. Some of the most popular Scams out there have names that are easily ranked on YouTube if you do the keyword research properly.
Believe me there are tons of Scam products. All you have to do is research. Anything can be checked out if you spend the time looking.
I was in the Trading Industry for a while so I know where to look for that. But there are literally thousands of Scams out there. One you expose the scam you can provide alternatives in the description.
You can also do reviews on Genuine Products and sell them as an affiliate. Same situation. Do some research on keywords and make a video and get it ranked on YouTube.
I make videos like this, get it ranked, and within hours I make leads to my business.

What is your favorite book right now, and why?
As I mentioned earlier I battle with reading but one book remains my favorite and still is and that is “How to win friends and influence people” by Dale Carnegie. It was and still is a very prevalent book even today and if you can get a copy. Grab it!
~
What are your goals for 2023?
My goals for 2023 are pretty simple. Help more people and become a better resource for Marketers. I also want to start a Coaching Program. So that is in the pipeline. My ultimate Goal is to start a Youth Center for Young People to train on becoming Financially Independent like I have.

What is your favorite quote and why?
One of my favorite quotes is from Henry Ford – “The man who thinks he can and the man who thinks he can’t are both right. Which one are you?” Which I really identify with.
I really believe that we fulfill our own minds with whatever we actually believe. If you believe it you WILL get it. Sometimes though, it is your subconscious that makes the reality. It is our life’s journey to make our conscious minds see it.
Thank you so much for this powerful interview Dave!
