Clean the Bedrooms
You’ll want to start at the top and work your way down to the floors when you clean your bedroom.
Remove the bedding from all the beds and throw it in the laundry. You’ll also want to wash your pillows and the mattress pad. Try and declutter your room, as well.
Begin With the Living Room
Use your duster and clean the corners of the ceiling and dust the fans. Dust the crown molding as well.
Next, you’ll want to tackle the baseboards. Baseboards will get dusty and covered with pet hair. First, sweep the hair off. Mix mild soap with water and wipe down the baseboards. You’ll also want to spot clean your walls.
Go around the living area with your duster, and get rid of the dust on shelves, artwork, and frames. Use furniture polish and a rag to clean up your furniture pieces.
You can get rid of dust and debris on couches and chairs by using a vacuum hose attachment. Freshen up furniture by spraying them with a fabric freshener.
Mop the laminate or wood flooring. You’ll need to vacuum the carpet. Consider renting a carpet cleaner if your carpet’s stained.
Tackle the Kitchen
You’ll want to start cleaning your kitchen in the same way you cleaned your living room. Start from top to bottom and dust the corners, ceiling fans, and crown molding. Wipe down the walls and shelves.
Clean the outside and inside of your fridge. The crisper drawers and door handle can get quite dirty. Throw away expired or old food.
You can use a microfiber cloth to wipe down the drawers and shelves. Dip the cloth in a mild cleaning solution. Dry the inside of the fridge with a paper towel before returning food to the refrigerator.
Microwaves also can get dirty. Get rid of food splatters with a lemon juice and water solution.
Microwave the solution for three minutes. Let the bowl of cleaning solution sit for another three minutes. You should be able to wipe away stubborn stains.
Your oven and stove will need a little more elbow grease. Use vinegar, water, and baking soda to scrub off hard food particles. Clean the splatters off the burners.
Disinfect your sink and countertops.
Finish With the Bathrooms
You will want to begin with dusting the walls and corners first.
Use a cloth and a cleaner to wipe down your shelving and counters. Scrub the sink next. You can try using white vinegar to get rid of dried toothpaste or soap scum.
Spray your apartment shower and tub with vinegar. Disinfect your toilet bowl and wipe it all down.
