Every network marketer needs leads if they want to grow a successful home based business. Here’s how to get more MLM Leads.
The biggest problem network marketers face is not enough leads.
You need a lot of leads to find a few good leaders for your MLM organization.
I tell my distributors to shoot for generating 10 leads a day, whether paid leads or free.
This can get expensive if you don’t know what you’re doing.
If you’re spending more than $2 dollars a lead and they aren’t upgrading into your business, you’ll lose a lot of money fast.
When I started network marketing in 2014, I was getting maybe 3 leads a day.
And, that was from using Twitter and having 80,000 followers.
Not a good conversion rate!
Luckily though, just by my sheer size of my followers on Twitter, I managed to get a few people in my business each month.
The bad news is they usually left soon after because no one had 80,000 followers on Twitter.
They couldn’t copy or duplicate my lead generation technique.
That’s the hard part about getting your team to “duplicate” is finding a lead generation technique that works for them.
A lot of big MLM leaders encourage their new reps to throw home parties and do three-way calls.
I would rather die than do that stuff, besides I live in a RV and throwing a home meeting isn’t happening.
And, I’ve only been on one three-way call in my entire life and I wasn’t the organizer, if you know what I mean.
Like a lot of new network marketers, I want to automate the lead generation process as much as possible.
Yes, human contact is important, but so is sorting through hundreds of people a day, which I can’t physically do.
So, how do you increase your daily lead generation?
There’s three main things you can do:
- Spend more money on traffic to your landing page or pay for leads.
- Spend more time on activities that generate leads, like social media prospecting, blogging, and shooting videos.
- Add a new platform to your mix.
These are pretty self-explanatory, but let’s go over them real quick.
One – If you’re buying leads, figure out how much you’re spending on each lead and if they’re converting.
If you’ve spent a couple hundred bucks on leads and none of them have upgraded, I would bag that lead generation strategy.
To be honest, I haven’t had any luck with paid leads. All my leads come from my blog, video, and Twitter.
Two – If you’re getting a couple leads here and there from what you’re doing, just increase what you’re doing! If you’re getting 3 leads a day from Twitter, you can increase your tweets and follow more people, even add another account or two. I had 7 accounts at one time.
If you’re getting leads from YouTube, shoot more videos.
If you’re getting leads from your blog, blog more.
It’s sounds simple enough, but a lot of people don’t “scale up” their efforts when they’re on to something that works.
Three – Even though I had a lot of followers on Twitter, I wasn’t getting as many leads as I could have.
What do I mean?
I realized after running some tests on my links that I posted on Twitter, that the best link that converted was my direct message to new followers, not from tweets themselves.
So, it’s very important to A/B test your marketing strategy always.
Things might not work right away and some things work for awhile and then dry out.
A/B testing is what every marketer needs to do online if you want to achieve success.
So, first master one platform and add another platform to get more leads.
Don’t do everything when you first start your business or you won’t do anything because of paralysis by analysis.
Focus on 2 to 3 platforms max.
I use Twitter, blogging and video.
With that mix, I get my 10 leads a day.
