Robby Chazen comes from the Finance industry, and turned to the internet to supplement his income. Now, he teaches others how to do internet marketing. Learn more about his powerful story in our exclusive interview below.
Thank you so much for doing this interview, Robby. I’m excited to learn more about you. So, let’s get started!
Where were you born and raised, what was childhood like, and what did you want to be when you ‘grew up?’
I was born and raised in pikesville Maryland a very small town. My childhood was good and I had great support from my family and friends.
When I was growing up I wanted to be a professional athlete and it really didn’t matter what sport I made it in I played almost every sport.
I played baseball, football and wrestling in high school and baseball in college. I love to compete and the camaraderie you get with being on a sports team is amazing.

What did your parents do for a living and was there any Entrepreneurship in the family?
My mom was a speech pathologist and worked for the school system in maryland a lot of her career and was very good at what she does. My dad is a professional tennis instructor.
I guess I get my love for sports from my dad’s side of the family. I have seen a lot of great tennis players come through our state in maryland and they all had one thing in common they worked with my dad.
Now I am bias in saying that but he is very good at teaching and playing tennis. There was no entrepreneurship in my family. My family are firm believers of getting a good education, a good job, and living a nice life without much risk.

What type of jobs or career did you have before becoming an Entrepreneur and what were the pros and cons of working for someone else?
I was in the finance industry before I came an entrepreneur. I really liked the opportunities the finance industry has but in order to climb the corporate ladder you needed to put in 10-15 years of work which I don’t think is needed for top executive jobs.
I have seen people working day and night 6-7 days a week in the finance industry but only to be able to pay the bills at the end of the month or even worse your boss just firing you.
The whole idea of a safety net of having a job really wasn’t the case and you needed something else to supplement your income with your job to protect yourself and also to be able to go after your true dreams in life.
When I started to learn about this reality I dove into entrepreneurship. I don’t think many people wake up today and are excited to work for 40 years of their life for someone else and make 40 percent of what they are actually worth.

When did you discover internet marketing, what was your first two years like, and can you tell us what you would change if you started over today?
I first discovered internet marketing back in 2013 when one of my friends invited me over to his business launch party and he was launching a network marketing business. This got me to really start thinking about the whole online space and what is possible.
My first 2 years in internet marketing looking back on it now was a great learning experience for me I had a lot successes and a lot failures but with all those failures I learned what it took to get to the next level and how to be a successful entrepreneur.
Looking back on my first two years I would not of changed much because if I didn’t go through my failures that I did in my first two years I wouldn’t of been as successful as I am today.
Now saying that there is a few things I wish I had done sooner like branding yourself, creating an email list, using sales funnels in my business and started a blog.

What is the biggest mistake you see new internet marketers make, and how can they fix it?
Oh, I see new internet marketers and sometime seasoned internet marketers making the same mistakes and it makes me want to go across the computer screen and tell them stop doing that lol. I will give you some mistakes that I hope for anyone who is reading this please do not make these mistakes.
1) Spamming your social media with the company you promote.. First off you are not promoting the number one asset YOURSELF. Secondly people do not buy things usually when you seem needy and when you spam your links around you seem very desperate.
2) One of the biggest mistakes I see for new internet marketers is they get a mentor or try to get one which is a good thing but the mentor doesn’t have the things that you want out of life.
For example if your mentor only builds offline guess how you’re going to building your business, you got it offline. When finding a mentor I say find someone who already has what you want out of life and listen to those type of people.
3) For new internet marketers I see a lot of them these days who have shiny ball syndrome which is just when they see the next great and best thing they just jump on and promote it which might sound good but when you are new to the industry just stay focused with one opportunity and build a brand then you can start creating multiple streams of income for yourself.

I love your blog! How old is it, how many posts are on it, and what is your daily traffic like?
Thank you! Your blog you have Erik is awesome as well! My blog is 2 years old now with just 10 posts and gets 50-100 new visitors a day. I will be adding more content in the very near future to the blog, but with blogging you want to optimize every post you make and not just write a lot of blog posts for the sake of writing blog posts.
How do you create massive momentum in your MLM and Affiliate Marketing?
Great Question. I teach both online and offline methods to build massive momentum in your MLM/ affiliate business but I have found online to go much faster with this simple model.
First, before I tell you how to create massive momentum I should tell you what you are going to need. You are going to need a sales funnel, email follow up system, and a marketing budget.
I like to pick offers for MLM/ affiliate marketing where the front end offer will cover my cost of advertising and may even put me in profit and on the back end of the sales funnel it is all pure profit. When you have this type of offer it is all about the numbers game and how many eye balls can you get to your site.
I will add once you create your story in the internet marketing space you tell the world because your story is your brand and is one of the main reasons people will buy from you over and over again.

What’s the hottest way to generate leads for you these days, and can you share a technique?
I think the hottest way to generate leads and a lot of them in any space is to do paid traffic. I like facebook ads and solo ads. This is a way for you to start making money very quickly and creating your story right away.
My pro tip would be while you’re creating your story or your brand do a 30 day video challenge where you create a little 2 minute video a day about anything that isn’t your opportunity and put it on social media or your blog and let me know where you are 30 days from now.

Who do you want to help and inspire and why?
I want to help and inspire people who are already entrepreneurs get more success in their business. I want to help and inspire people who want to become entrepreneurs or want more out of life and help them achieve their dreams.
You could say I want to help and inspire everyone. I want to help anyone, doesn’t matter your background or where you’re from, become a better person and be able to help you achieve your goals.

What is your favorite book right now, and why?
I just started to re-read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and I really love this book. I think mindset is so crucial especially for an entrepreneur.
If your mindset is not right from the start you can fix it but it’s much easier to start with the right mindset on day 1. I think this book is a must read for everyone, I think anyone can gain something from the book.
~
What are your goals for 2023?
My goals are to retire my parents this year and have 1 million dollars in passive income a year.

What is your favorite quote and why?
I am going to give you two because it is a tie for first:
Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value. –Albert Einstein
This quote by Albert Einstein sums it up perfectly on how to live your life and it changed my thinking on a lot of things you get rewarded on the value you bring to the marketplace no matter what that marketplace is.
You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. –Wayne Gretzky
This quote by Wayne Gretzky is so true but so many people won’t take chances today. Just take a shot and see what happens. Would you rather live a life of self regret or a life of I did my best in everything I did and if things didn’t work out at least I tried and took a shot.
