Today, I interview my good friend and fellow internet marketer/blogging powerhouse Chuck Holmes. He is going to share his tips and experiences with Trunited.
# 1 Can You Please Tell Us a Little Bit About Yourself, Chuck?
Thanks for interviewing me today, Erik. I love your blog. You provide a ton of value about network marketing and personal development, especially for men.
My name is Charles Holmes. My friends call me Chuck. At the time of writing this post (January 2018), I am 40-years old.
I live in Homosassa, Florida, with my beautiful wife, Rachel. Homosassa is about one-hour north of Tampa Bay. Homosassa is famous for sea cows (manatees). It is a small town with several thousand people.
I served 15-years in the Army (Major) and am a combat veteran. My passions include blogging, network marketing, writing, reading, jogging, watching movies, and visiting flea markets and thrift stores.
I am a RED personality. I am very energetic, enthusiastic, driven, and competitive. I spend 95% of my time at home in my pajamas living my dream and building my online businesses.
# 2 When Did You First Join Network Marketing and What Has Your Experience Been Like So Far?
I first learned about network marketing in 2002. At the time, I was 24-years old and served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army at Fort Carson, Colorado.
One of my peers (another Lieutenant) invited me over to her house to listen to someone talk about making extra money. I didn’t want to go, but my best friend dragged me along.
When I showed up to her home, there were about 15 people there, and the speaker started drawing circles on a white board.
That opportunity was QUIXTAR (Amway). I was so excited about what I saw that night. Up until that point in time, I had never heard of Amway, network marketing or residual income. Needless to say, I was hooked. Now, some 16-years later I still feel the same way. I honestly believe this is the best industry and opportunity in the free world.
For my first 12-years in this great industry, I struggled. I was an amateur. I had a bad attitude, poor people skills, and a negative self-image to overcome. I wasn’t the nicest guy either. Thank goodness for personal development! I’m now a completely different person.
It wasn’t until a few years ago that made the decision to be a network marketing professional. All those years of personal development (and struggle) really paid off.
Like most people in our industry, I’ve spent time in several different network marketing companies through the years. It took me a LONG time to find an opportunity I could get excited about and stay excited about. After all this time, I believe I have found my forever home with Trunited.
What Is Trunited?
Trunited is an online shopping platform that allows ordinary people to earn money back for shopping at their favorite online stores. Some of these stores include Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Home Depot, Macy’s, Starbucks and Burger King. You can also earn money back buying gift cards.
Trunited is similar to ebates® in some ways, yet very different. It is a combination of affiliate marketing, network marketing, and fundraising.
The company officially launched in January 2017. It was founded by Dr. Nicolas Porter, who is a dentist by trade. He built the wildly successful “RISA” dental practices. If you haven’t Googled his name yet, you should. He is a visionary entrepreneur and great guy.
What Excites You About Trunited, Chuck?
What I like most about Trunited is that it is free to join, so there is no financial risk. You can try it out for free and see how it works for you.
Next, there is no auto-ship requirement. You can buy whatever you want, whenever you want.
There are no overpriced products to buy. You don’t have to try to explain to your friends and family why they should buy your $200 lotion or $90 magical juice. You are just showing people how to make some extra money doing what they are already doing: shopping online.
You simply shop at the stores you CURRENTLY shop at, pay the same prices you currently do, and can earn money for doing so. How awesome is that?
Plus, online shopping is HUGE. Online shopping continues to grow each year, and I don’t see that changing any time soon. I love the idea that I can earn money from shopping at Walmart®, Amazon®, eBay®, and hundreds of other popular stores.
What Made You Pick Trunited Over Other MLM Companies?
I was approached about Trunited twice (by the same person). I was approached by one of the Managing Partners before they officially launched the company. He is a close friend of mine; someone I look up to and trust.
The first time I was approached about Trunited, I was hot and heavy in another opportunity, and the timing for me to look at Trunited was not right.
Fortunately, he followed up with me about a year later an I took a closer look at it. After doing my due diligence, I liked what I saw.
The primary reason I joined Trunited was because of the relationship I had with the person who introduced me to it. Food for thought.
The second reason I picked Trunited is because it was different. Their business model, culture and products were much different than other network marketing companies. I liked the fact it was free to join, no auto-ship, no overpriced products, no money being made off “tools” and no hype or meetings.
The third reason I joined Trunited is the timing. I know that joining a company BEFORE it becomes a household name is vitally important. It’s great to be in on the ground floor.
What Products Does Trunited Currently Offer for Sale?
Trunited has MILLIONS of different products to choose from. If you’re already buying something online, chances are, you can also get it through Trunited.
Trunited even has some “Direct to Consumer” products. These are brands some of the corporate leaders in Trunited own, and they offer these products to us at a great price. Of course, you never HAVE to buy any of these products. You can just shop at the other stores if you’d like.
Can You Briefly Explain the Trunited Compensation Plan?
The company’s compensation plan is very different and does take a little time to understand. Trunited has what’s known as a profit pool. All of the revenue that comes into the company each month is put in the profit pool.
At the end of each month, the company pays its expenses out of the profit pool. The remaining money in the profit pool is then divided among all the members in the company based upon the number of profit points they earned themselves, and their team’s points.

How Do You Build Your Trunited Business, Chuck?
I build my Trunited business 100% online through my blog. I also use solo ads, email marketing and other forms of paid advertising. Many of these people sign up on their own, or they call/email me with their questions before they sign up.
This is by no means the ONLY way to build a business. When I look at my three most successful team members, this is what I’ve found.
My most successful person builds the business 100% face to face, mostly through home meetings. My second most successful person built it entirely through email marketing. Finally, my third most successful person built it 100% via Facebook.
I don’t think there is a right or wrong way to build the business, as long as you are doing it ethically and honestly. It’s different strokes for different folks. I tell everyone to figure out what method works for them and to focus on that.
What Type of Success Have You Had with Trunited So Far, Chuck?
I should start by telling you this is the EASIEST program I have ever promoted. I call it easy because it’s free to join AND most people already shop online at these stores.
I joined Trunited on November 2, 2017. I am writing this article on January 21, 2018. As of this morning, I have been with Trunited just 81-days.
During those 81 days, I have personally sponsored 77 people. Those 77 people have turned into 539 people.
My goal is to have 10,000 people on my Trunited team by my one-year anniversary with the company, and 50,000 people on my team within 2-years of joining Trunited.
Of course, these are just MY goals. Individual results will vary. I’ve also worked very hard to achieve these results.
What Type of Training & Support Do You Have in Place for Your Trunited Team?
We have a simple system in place to train and support our team. We have a team Facebook group, which I update every day, Monday through Friday.
I send out training emails to the team every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. These emails provide recognition, success tips, important updates, and upcoming events. We also have webinars four times per week.
We have a Getting Started Guide and example marketing materials. I’ve even put together an email marketing system for my team to use.
The training and support are there. I train most people in a group setting and work with the people who ask me for help. I don’t chase people or try to motivate people. I work with the willing.
What Are Three Reasons Our Website Visitors Should Join Trunited Today?

- It’s network marketing without all of the traditional headaches associated with it
How Much Does It Cost to Join Trunited?
It’s currently FREE to join Trunited. Everyone starts out for free. There is a paid option available, a $99 affiliate fee, but it is being modified as I write this article (and will be going away in the very near future).
Where Do You See Trunited in the Next Few Years?
To the best of my knowledge, approximately 50,000 to 60,000 people have signed up with Trunited during its first year in business. I personally believe Trunited will have several MILLION shoppers within the next FIVE years (just my opinion, not a guarantee).
Currently, they only do business in the USA, but as they expand internationally in the years to come, I predict they will have tens of millions of shoppers.
